CATVDA is a processor that embodies the VDAFS V 2.0 surface interface defined by the Automobile Industry Association (VDA) for CAD system CATIA V4. This bi-directional interface makes it possible to exchange 3-D CAD data between CATIA and other CAD systems as well as products from the EF, NC, technical presentation and documentation fields. When a CATIA model is transferred to VDAFS, a text file is generated that corresponds to VDAFS Version 2.0 (or Version 1.0, if desired). In the opposite direction a CATIA model is generated from aVDAFS text file.
