I want to download CATVDA V5. Where do I get the login and password?
Please send an email to sales@catvda.com and include the host ID
of the computer on which the software will be installed.
A license file will be generated and sent to you together with your login and password.
Is it possible to install CATVDA V5 for CATIA Rxx on CATIA V5 Ryy?
CATVDA V5 is runnable on CATIA installations of the same CATIA release only.
There is no upward or downward compatibility between the different CATIA releases.
Are the different CATIA service packs compatible?
CATVDA V5 can be used both with higher and lower versions of servicepacks since CATIA is interoperable
considering the service pack levels in the same release.
If the software does not work, an error has occurred during the CATIA installation.
What is the host ID needed for and how can it be found out?
The host ID is used to generate a valid license file for CATVDA V5.
You need to determine the host ID of the computer on which CADVDA V5 is to be installed.
In the case of floating licenses, the server's will be required.
Depending on the operating system used, you enter the following comands to determine the host ID:
- For AIX: uname -m.
- For IRIX: sysinfo.
- For HP-UX: uname -i.
- For SunOS: hostid.
In proceed by saving the output of the command to a file.
- For Windows 2000/XP
... download and run the executable program lmtools. A dialog is displayed, containing information about the configuration of the computer. Use the button "Save HOSTID Info to a File" on the "System Settings" tab to save the host ID data to a file. Please set the resulting output file containing the host ID to our sales department (sales@catvda.com). They will generate a valid license file and send it back to you via email.
